Guided by our family business model for over 30 years, LNA Santé’s goal has always been to care for and take care of vulnerable people.

Having embarked on a societal and environmental responsibility approach some years ago, we have decided to go even further by becoming an ‘Entreprise à Mission’.

This status was adopted by our General Meeting on 21 June 2023. Our family business has thus adopted an explicit, long-term, structural framework by introducing an ethos and lasting commitments into its articles of association.

WHAT IS AN ‘ENTREPRISE À MISSION’?

Introduced in France by the PACTE Law of 2019, an ‘entreprise à mission’ is a company with an ‘ethos’ and social, societal and environmental goals, which are integrated into its articles of association and represent its ‘mission’. Responsibility for supervising the execution of its commitments is entrusted to a mission committee, a body independent from the board of directors, which may be composed of members from both inside and outside the company, at least one of whom must be an employee. An Independent Third-Party Body (OTI) is also tasked with checking the achievement of the objectives every 2 years.

Our Mission Committee

To check that every decision made by the company takes due account of social and environmental criteria, a 9-member mission committee has been set up. It comprises LNA Santé healthcare professionals but also members from outside the company. An annual mission report is published every year, giving a clear and objective overview of the indicators selected by LNA Santé. An Independent Third-Party Body (OTI) will be tasked with checking that we are compliant with the commitments made in our articles of association and allow us to monitor our progress indicators.

In setting up our mission committee, our priority was to bring together a diverse group of profiles, deeply committed to the company and its stakeholders, united in a collective able both to challenge our commitments and to drive us forward.

Find out more about the Mission Committee

This first full year of activity for the Mission Committee has been an opportunity to consolidate the mission model, aligning the company’s commitments with operational objectives and concrete ambitions. Over the course of our meetings, a sincere dialogue was established between LNA Santé and the Committee, addressing both the relevance of the model and the company’s progress in delivering on its commitments.

Perspective from

Claude Evin
Chair of the Mission Committee

Our ‘Entreprise à Mission’

Our mission is structured around four commitments.

We have translated these long-term commitments into operational objectives, supported by concrete actions and performance indicators.

1st commitment

To care for and take care of vulnerable people, look after caregivers and ensure quality of life.

2nd commitment

To take care of our teams and build the future of our business lines together, based on our family business culture.

2rd commitment

To look after our environment and take action to support the ecological transition.

4th commitment

To cooperate and innovate to meet the healthcare needs of local people and communities.

Beyond the company, driving transformation across our sector

Being a mission-driven company means affirming our collective determination to help address the societal challenges connected to our activities. We draw on our DNA as a committed organization and on the energy of our professionals, eager to push boundaries by experimenting with new ways of delivering care.

Documentary films sparking reflection on the care professions

On April 30, Les Esprits Libres, a documentary directed by Bertrand Hagenmüller and produced by Aloest Films, was released in theaters. The film captures an iterative project born out of LNA Santé’s longstanding commitment, showcasing a different way of supporting vulnerability, building community, and living together.

Regular publications to contribute to the public debate on the future of the healthcare system

Through Le MAG and Les Cahiers du Prendre Soin, we aim to share our reflections and proposals with public decision-makers and the wider healthcare community. In doing so, we contribute perspectives grounded in more than 30 years of experience and in our distinctive approach.
